& Families,
The School
Age students have officially started their summer vacation here at Joyful
Noise. Daily activities and field trips around Grand Haven are being scheduled
and planned for our students.
Each day we
have a morning meeting. We routinely go over the daily schedule and have a
morning devotion or Bible story. One of our goals is to learn the Lord’s Prayer
by the end of summer. We recite it and talk about what it means. Also we daily
review our classroom and field trip rules. This helps the new students who are
only just starting our SA class and are not as familiar with our classroom
routines.
In the
school age room this summer we have embraced everything “Flat Stanley” a fictional
character based on the books and stories created by Jeff Brown. Flat Stanley has many adventures around the
world. Each student made their own Stanley puppet and voted on which books to
read as a class. We will also be journaling about our own classroom adventures
with Flat Stanley throughout the summer break.
We are
excited to be a part of this energetic group of kids, and look forward to some
wonderful summer days.
